My name is Kanwaljeet Singla and I am Senior Software Design Engineer in Microsoft, USA. I have more than 8 years of experience in software industry. My first job was with Cisco systems where I worked on Cisco Emergency Responder and Cisco Call Manager. After working just for a year, I moved to Microsoft where I worked on VJ# .Net class library. While working on J# team, I briefly worked on J# compiler and also worked on VJ# swing library. After two and half years in J# team, I moved to IIS team where I worked on variety of core features like compression, custom errors. caching, msdeploy, fastcgi, security etc. Lately I have been working on improving PHP support on windows and IIS by improving FastCGI support on IIS, improving PHP performance on windows and also by making PHP installer work better with IIS.

On the personal front, I am married and live with my wife in Bothell, WA. I am basically from Chandigarh, India where my parents currently live. My hobbies are watching movies and trying new technologies. I have bachelors degree from IIS Roorkee and masters degreee from University of Washington. I majored in computer science in both my bachelors and masters.
